A bloody Nose, ripped lip and a black eye
before starting make sure you do skin allergies test for you client to make sure they are not allergic to any latex or special effects products used. Always do 48hours patch test.
Creating the black eye
- to create my black eye I used my bruise wheel, i first applied the dark colour using fingers to blend in.
- i put the dark colour where the natural shadow falls on the eyes by asking your model to tilt the head down looking in to the mirror and the shadow accurs. i then filled it with a dark purple soft blending it in.
- Then I used a light green colour from the bruise wheel and applied it with my brush under the eyelids and on top of the eyelids to give a greeny unhealthy look.
- I got lighter purple blend out the edges of the bruise to give it an realistic effect.
- This was very simple simple add light bruising around the nose to give it an special effect.
- then applied a bit of scab/wound filler inside the nose
- Then I applied blood around the nose and let it drip down naturally.
Creating a ripped lip
- For the lips I first cleansed the area and dried it with tissue
- Then I got Tuplast and applied it to the lip area and quickly held the lips together so it dies joint
- I then released and applied a bit more of tuplast and joined the skin together eventually the tuplast gave and effect as if the lips was help by strands of skin.
- I then applied wound filler inside being careful not to break the joints of the tuplast.
- I them applied bruising around the are of the face and then finished it with some blood.
Creating wounds using Wax
- First warm up the wax with your hands.
- Then using a spatula apply the wax on your chose area and start moulding it making the edges smooth so you can not see it on the skin.
- Once you have created the desired shape then to create a cut or a hole use a small pin to create the wound hole or to slice then skin make sure you don't poke your clients skin.
- Then I applied bruising around my wound using the bruise wheel from kryolan and ben nye.
- Then I filled the wound in two different ways for the first image I applied wound filler for my second image I mixed Vaseline and blood to create conjured blood
