Creating Miss Havisham ,continuity image

Recreating Miss Havisham was not an easy task but I had my notes and images from my first creation that did help me a lot. but getting everything on the very same point was very hard. This  was a good way to learn how to repeat the look.

face chart that helped me remember what colours I used exactly including all my notes

Practice look of Miss Havisham both hair and make up technical classes

This was my Practice look for Miss Havisham
My third attempt of this look and I was happy with the outcome of this look.
Unfortunately I did not take the first practiced looks of my hair and makeup of Miss Havisham.
I did not think of taking pictures of.

My idea developed from Miss Havisham burning from the book I wanted the look to be looking like she was burning from underneath and that is why why I created the burn from her nack till under her nose. The eyes is to represent all the pain she has suffered from the burns and thats where the Idea for my makeup look has come.

The hair I wanted it to look like flopped down curls and loose like she has just only maintained the frot but not the back.

Creating Estelle image

My look was to create a young pretty estella in her beautiful cold days. The hair is a Early victorian style mix with late victorian style I wanted her to have loose but yet curly style and her makeup to be very natural and light.
Creating my Estelle Was very challenging with the hair. My model had ring loop extensions in her hair and brushing through the hair and styling it was not that easy. But looking back the hair and makeup have come out better then I had originally thought. I could have worked better on the hair much more and thi challenge did gain me an new experience that I can style hair with ring loops extensions. I know if I did not have that challenging part of the extensions I know the hair would come out much better. The makeu now looking at the picture needs more blusher on the cheeks to make them look more rosier and if I aplied a bit more of tint on her lips to make them stand out more. I wanted my estella to be simple and prettey and I have kind of achieved tht from my look.

Costume. The throw worn by my model is a real victorian throw over and the dress is not very victorian but it is a real vintage dress that made the look complete. She wore a corset and under skirt to complete the whole feel of the victorian era. I was really happy with the costume look and my overall final look. There are some areas that need to yet still need improvement but after all after facing the challenges thrown at me I still pulled off a nice look.

Victorian hair style-Estelle and Miss Havisham

My Estelle Hair
My Estelle Hair was difficult to do as my model had ring loops in her hair where the loops was falling down and she had some glue drom the extension as it was time for her to get them re-done.
For my look I wanted a loose curl victorian look. I am overall happy with the outcome as it was a challenge for me to complete the hairstyle and making sure i dont pul on my models hair extensions.

Tools Used
  • Tail Comb
  • Styling Brush
  • Hair pins
  • Curling wand
  • hairband
  • Flower
  • Hair spray
  1.  I first sectioned the hair making a straight line
  2. Then I created the Bun in the hair by taking a U-shape section from the crown of the hair and tying it into a ponytail, taking 4 sections creating a barrel curl and inning it into the hair.
  3. I then started taking small sections of the hair and curled the rest of the back of the hair.
  4. once they was all curled I then pinned the curls into the bun but making them still look very loose.
  5. I left some strand out so it could have that loose effect of the hair.
  6. once the back was complete i then started with the front of the hair making the curls more larger then the back.
  7. I then dressed the curls back to in to the bun and pinned them in.
  8. I created two barrel curs by tonging the hairin wards to my model using a comb to protect her face from the heat on done I pinned them in to a barrel curl.

My Miss Havisham hair came out exactly how I wanted it to look. Very messy but I do think the Bun could have been different more noticble as it looks very messy and the shape is not that clear. but I wanted her to have the bed head look.
